Hand and I made beer batter pancakes for Mr Walsh whilst we we 6th formers. Neither of us studied A level maths but achieved A at O levels (which I needed for Med school application.) A great moment for us as young men was to enjoy some adult time and humour with a respected teacher. I’m sure Walshy would be frustrated how the best profession in the world is harmed by successive governmental interference. Sorry to soap box but Mr Walsh helped Richard and I to become professionals in teaching and medicine. We donate with unending gratitude and respect. Prepare some beer pancakes and real ale for us when it is our turn.
